Grandparents Day.

26th Jan 2023

Today we celebrated 'Grandparents Day' as part of Catholic Schools Week.

Our Primary Seven class invited their grandparents and parents to school to take a look at all of the work they had completed to celebrate their Grandparents. To begin our morning, everyone enjoyed a fabulous tea party with food provided by each of the P7 children. We would like to thank our cook, Ann-Marie, for baking scones for everyone to enjoy.  Thank you also to all our staff for helping out with tea and coffee.

During Catholic Schools Week we celebrate the important role played by grandparents in passing on the faith. The love of a grandparent is to be celebrated and cherished and it is so important to show our grandparents our gratitude and celebrate all that they do for us.

There was a fantastic turnout of parents and grandparents to celebrate ‘Grandparent’s Day’. It was a lovely opportunity for the children to say thank you to all their wonderful grandparents for everything they do for them.

The children enjoyed showing off their work and the parents and grandparents enjoyed watching the video of the changes in the class from P1 to P7.

The children sang a lovely song to conclude their celebration. The boys and girls performed so well and spoke so  beautifully about how their grandparents care for them!

A special word of thanks to our  P7 teacher, Miss Donnelly,  and Classroom Assistant Sinead for organising such a wonderful 'Grandparents Day'!

A massive well done to our Primary 7 boys and girls. You truly earned your homework pass!

Thank you to all our grandparents and parents for joining us today and helping us to celebrate Catholic Schools Week. We  hope you enjoyed the celebration as much as we did!
