Book Swap
The Eco Council organised a very successful Book Swap event, which was enjoyed by many pupils across the school. The aim of the event was to encourage reading while also promoting sustainability by giving books a second life rather than buying new ones.
In the days leading up to the event, pupils were invited to bring in books they had already read and were happy to pass on to someone else. The response was fantastic, with a wide variety of books donated.
On the day of the swap, pupils had the opportunity to browse through the collection and choose a “new” book to take home. In total, an impressive 114 books were swapped, meaning 114 books have now found new readers. This helped reduce waste, encouraged sharing and inspired pupils to discover new stories and authors.
A big thank you to the Eco Council for organising such a successful event and to everyone who brought in books and took part. 📚📖
