Eco Schools Green Flag Award

15th Jun 2026

Today Miss Toner, Mrs Donnelly and Aimee and Mary, two members of our Eco Council team had the honour of attending the Eco Council Awards Ceremony in Pomeroy Forest. It was a very special occasion for our school as we were presented with our first Green Flag Award, a significant achievement that recognises our commitment to environmental awareness and sustainability.

We are incredibly proud of this achievement and would like to thank everyone who helped us reach this important milestone. Achieving the Green Flag Award required dedication, teamwork and enthusiasm from across our entire school community. Our pupils embraced a range of environmental initiatives throughout the year, while staff provided ongoing support and encouragement. We are also grateful to parents and families who supported our efforts and helped promote environmentally friendly practices both at school and at home.

A special word of thanks goes to Miss Toner and our Eco Councillors for their outstanding leadership, hard work and commitment. They worked tirelessly to prepare for the assessment process, organise activities, raise awareness of environmental issues and encourage everyone to play their part in making our school a greener place.

We would also like to thank the Live Here Love Here team for organising such a wonderful awards ceremony and for providing a fantastic day out for all those attending.

We look forward to proudly displaying our first Green Flag and celebrating this achievement with the whole school community. Well done to everyone involved in making this award possible! πŸŒΏπŸ†πŸ’š
