Today we had the pleasure of welcoming Bronagh from Mid Ulster District Council, who came to speak with us about the important topics of litter, waste reduction and recycling.
She explained how litter affects not only the beauty of our local area but also wildlife, the environment, and even our health. We learned about the different types of waste we produce every day and the best ways to manage it responsibly. Bronagh reminded us that even small actions—like picking up after ourselves, sorting rubbish correctly and reducing single-use plastics—can make a big difference when everyone takes part. Lots of work for our Eco Council to work on this year in St Mary’s. Thank you Bronagh.
