P5 Shared Education
Over the past six weeks, our Primary 5 pupils have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in a fantastic Shared Education Programme alongside two other local schools. This valuable experience provided the children with the opportunity to come together each week, fostering new friendships while learning and growing in a supportive and collaborative environment.
One of the highlights of the programme was learning Scottish Highland dancing, where the children mastered three different routines. The pupils also had the exciting opportunity to meet local author Declan Carville, who inspired them with his journey as a writer. The children thoroughly enjoyed listening to his story “The Magic Harp” and were encouraged to explore their own creativity and love of storytelling. In addition, the children took part in a variety of sporting activities which helped to develop their teamwork skills, resilience and sportsmanship.
The Shared Education Programme has been a hugely enriching experience for all involved. We are incredibly proud of how well they represented our school throughout the programme!
